The last couple of years have seen the creation of several movies. Many of them have been such great movies to watch that they crossed the billion-dollar mark after they were released. From action to romance to comedy and even superhero franchises, there’s a huge list of them. Now, you shouldn’t spend all your time just consuming movies without being productive.

However, if you’ve been working hard on yourself for a while and you need to unwind, then our list of great movies to watch is definitely for you. That’s enough talk for one introduction anyway; let’s dive right into our stash of movies.

Just keep in mind that we’ll be recommending movies across different genres and styles. We’re sure you’ll find something you like.

  1. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

This animated movie was released in 2018 by Marvel Studios. In the 1h56m that it lasted for, it provided nothing but excellent animation, entertainment, and teeth-grinding suspense. While some might have criticized the movie because it’s a cartoon, the storyline is still excellent and just might leave you wanting more.

  1. Get Out

This one was released in 2017. With a blend of a little comedy, modern horror, and satire on racism, this movie delivers 1h44m of an absolutely thrilling experience. It focuses on the life of a black young man who meets his white girlfriend’s parents and finds out something incredibly shocking and life-threatening at the same time. We’d tell you what it was, but that will just be a huge spoiler.

  1. Black Panther

This is another appearance from Marvel Studios. The only difference this time is that the movie is not animated. Nevertheless, Chadwick Boseman did an excellent job of playing the role of the king and protector of a fictional African country where prosperity, wealth, and incredible technological advancements abound. Unfortunately, the star of the movie, Chadwick passed away earlier this year. However, this movie is still a must-see.

  1. Her

The one-word title of this movie isn’t very likely to stir up quite as much curiosity as some others. But, just as you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, you shouldn’t judge a movie by its title either. This bizarre, but heart-warming romance movie focuses on the life of a man and a woman. Strangely, the woman isn’t exactly human. She’s a Siri/Cortana-like Artificial Intelligence. Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson perform excellent jobs as their individual characters in this movie.

  1. The Joker

This isn’t exactly your conventional villain movie. Regardless of that, this brilliant work of art still makes our list. It focuses on the life of Arthur Fleck, a young man living in poverty with a mental illness that forces him to laugh uncontrollably. He is bullied and battered by the world and life itself until he can’t take it anymore. If this doesn’t move you to tears while watching it, we don’t know what will.
