Niger Delta University Closes Indefinitely

The Niger Delta University, Bayelsa on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 brought all activities in the institution to a close as they shut down indefinitely.

Reports show that the management took this decision after the protest by some 200 Level Engineering students became violent in the school premises on Tuesday.

The protest was said to have started after the management implemented a law within the faculty, stating that any student that fails the three core engineering courses will be withdrawn from the faculty.

The implementation affected over 20 final year engineering students who were advised to leave the faculty to continue at 200 levels in another faculty.
